PRESCHOOL LANGUAGE WITH MOVEMENT LESSON

This month’s book will be THE NAPPING HOUSE by Audrey Wood and the hand play will be Turkey Tallies (see below).  We will be learning the signs for the main nouns in this story and using them in the song version of the book.    

 

Turkey Tallies

 

One baby turkey looking for some fun. (look around)

Two baby turkeys say, "Come on, let's run." (run in place)

Three baby turkeys jumping all around. ( jump)

Four baby turkeys rolling on the ground. (roll your arms)

Five baby turkeys dressed like clowns. (pretend to put a hat)

Six baby turkeys wearing big frowns. (frown)

Seven baby turkeys looking so fine. (look proud with hands on hips)

Eight baby turkeys read to dine. (pretend to eat)

Nine baby turkeys strutting their stuff. (strut in place)

Ten baby turkeys say, "Enough is enough".("finish" sign and sit down)
