PRESCHOOL SPEECH, LANGUAGE AND MOVEMENT LESSON

January 2008

By Miss Terry and Miss Sharon

This month’s speech and language lessons will be based on the book The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. The hand rhyme will be The Little Snowman (see below). We will be acting out the book, making snowman pictures, pretending to walk through the woods and making footprints in pretend snow.   Please take time to join your child in one of these follow-up activities:

  3. If and when the weather permits, play in the snow with your child.
  4. Go to the library together and check out another book by Ezra Jack Keats (Apartment Three, Maggie and the Pirate, Peter's Chair). Read the book together.
