PRESCHOOL LANGUAGE AND MOVEMENT LESSON

By Miss Terry and Miss Sharon

This month's book is Sunflower House by Eve Bunting. The hand rhyme is Rain.  We will do the hand rhyme and act out the story weekly.  In addition to these activities, we will be painting flower pots and planting sunflower seeds.   Ask your child to do the hand rhyme with you and tell you about the story.  Happy Spring!

Rain

Rain on the green grass, (hands out to the right, wiggle fingers forward)

Rain on the tree, (repeat, moving to the opposite side)

Rain on the rooftop, (repeat, moving to the front position)

But not on me. (point to self, shake head "no")

Rain on the school, (hands out to right, wiggle fingers forward)

Rain on the bus, (repeat, moving to the opposite side)

Rain on the playground, (repeat, moving to the front position)

But not on us. (point in a circular motion away from self and shake head "no")
