KINDERGARTEN LANGUAGE AND MOVEMENT

By Miss Terry and Miss Sharon

This month's book is Hooray, a Pinata! by Elisa Kleven.  The movement song will be "We clap" to the Mexican Hat Dance tune (see below).   We will do the song weekly.  In addition to these activities, we will be making piñatas, tissue paper dogs and maracas.   Have fun doing the movement song with your child.  You can add a verse with an action that your child chooses.

We Clap

We clap, we clap, we clap.  (Clap your hands and sing)

We clap and we shout , "Hooray!"

We clap, we clap, we clap.

We clap and we shout, "Hooray!"

Additional verses

2. We hop…. (Hop and sing)

3. We dance…. (Dance and sing)

4. We wiggle…. (wiggle and sing)

5. We jump…. (jump and sing)
